September 11 2001; planes crashed into the twin towers and the pentagon. The twin towers were destroyed as well as part of the pentagon and America’s confidence in American security crippled indefinitely. But was this an act of terrorism or something more sinister. Was it a simple attack on our hearts or fuel for our anger? Many have speculated and guessed but if people look at the facts than there is a better chance at finding out.
The three main theories surrounding 9-11 are about the pentagon not getting hit by a plane, flight 93 being shot down, and the controlled demolition theory and why we cannot just blame “the government”. And final theory is focused on the theory that it was an inside job.
First, It would be productive the focus on the fact that a lot of people choose to blame the government when approaching this conspiracy. But the government is separated into different parts with different goals. For all of those different parts to knowingly come together and plan something like this would be almost impossible. So with that said which part or parts of the government should we look into? Well I have chosen the bush administration not to say that bush knew about it just that the people around him did although bush would have had to be involved. As well as looking into the CIA because they would’ve been involved also.
So let’s begin by looking at the pentagon. The official story is that a hijacked Boeing 757 was purposely driven into the pentagon by Al-Qaida on 9-11-01. The conspiracy is that the pentagon was hit by something other than a plane such as a missile. The facts are that Boeing 757 has a 125 feet wing span and that the hole in the pentagon was 60 feet wide. In many pictures of the pentagon crash there is no sign of plane debris. The pentagon was under construction. And there were substantially less people killed than there would have been if that part of the pentagon had not been under construction.
Now let’s take a look at the evidence supporting each theory. The main ideas behind the conspiracy are that a Boeing 757 wouldn’t leave a 60 foot hole and that in many photos of the pentagon crash site there are no signs of airplane wreckage. Another key concept behind this conspiracy is that many people believe that the pentagon was under construction specifically so that less people would get hurt.
The facts representing the official story isn’t much other than people’s word saying there was a plane. But the interesting fact is that there are people who used emotionally charged words instead of facts to back up their claims. One of the people who did this was Blast expert Allyn E. Kilsheimer by saying “It was absolutely a plane, and I’ll tell you why, I saw the marks of the plane wing on the face of the building. I picked up parts of the plane with the airline markings on them. I held in my hand the tail section of the plane, and I found the black box. I held parts of uniforms from crew members in my hands, including body parts. Okay?” the reason that Allyn E. Kilsheimer gives as towards why there was indeed a plane there is because he said so. However there are pictures strongly indicating that there was indeed a plane at the crash site.
While there is evidence supporting each case it seems more likely that there was an airplane that crashed into the pentagon because of the photographic evidence. While there are still unanswered questions it’s not likely that the answers to those questions would drastically change the outcome.
The main conspiracy about flight 93 is the theory that it was shot down by a U.S. fighter plane instead of simply crash landing as the government stated. The main reason for this is because the main engine was found miles away from the main crash site withdamage comparable to that which a heat-seeking missile would do to an airliner. The other main idea behind this is that usually airplane crashes leave a small debris field but with this crash they found debris far from the main crash site. The reason this is significant is because if it’s true that means that a branch of the U.S. government knowingly shot down a plane of innocent hostages. The counter argument is that the airplane passengers rose up and took over the plane causing it to crash. It seems as though the official story is more believable considering how hard it would be to cover up the shooting the plane down.
Demolition theory proponents, such as Brigham Young University physicist Steven E. Jones, architect Richard Gage, software engineer Jim Hoffman, and theologian David Ray Griffin, argue that the aircraft impacts and resulting fires could not have weakened the buildings sufficiently to initiate a catastrophic collapse, and that the buildings would not have collapsed completely, nor at the speeds that they did, without additional energy involved to weaken their structures. Which leads people to believe their where explosives setup inside the buildings beforehand. As well as the fact that the world trade center 7 collapsed even thought it was never hit. The official story is that the force from the air plane knocked the buildings down. It seems likely that explosives where used but who used them still remains a mystery.
It is still unclear whether or not 9-11-01 was an inside job but we should always appreciate the people who investigate the unofficial story because they provide a unique perspective we would otherwise be blind to.
